Incoming: Injury Awareness Week 2025

Jun 17, 2025 | Fatal Injuries, Medical Negligence

The Personal Injury People

From Monday 23rd June to Friday 27th is Injury Awareness Week 2025. This week will see the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and its partners host online events and encourage vital public discussion on the important issues related to the victims impacted.

According to APIL’s newsletter, the topic for this year has been announced and will focus on individuals who lose their bodily integrity due to the negligence of others. Accidents and injuries that occur due to someone else’s carelessness or recklessness occur to at least half a million Brits each year, but these statistics only reflect the occasions which go on record.

The online content expected to arrive throughout the week foremost aims to raise awareness of the difference between injuries caused by accidents and those caused by negligence. The APIL team and those supporting the cause have also announced plans to take the campaign to MPs to gather further political support.

Support for Victims of Negligence

Accidents which have life or long-term repercussions on a victim’s ability to work or even take care of themselves and their families too often go unnoticed. Bringing to light the struggles victims face every day is at the very core of Injury Awareness Week 2025, and everyone is invited to help.

A needless injury of any kind has both an emotional and physical effect, and Injury Awareness Week seeks to encourage as much support as possible from those still struggling with the result of injuries caused by negligence. Often, injuries of this sort can leave victims feeling severely isolated – they can also have catastrophic results on the individual’s career or family life in general.

To stay updated, keep tabs with APIL’s X/TwitterInstagram, and LinkedIn – which regularly post all the latest regarding Injury Awareness Week 2025. There is also a dedicated Injury Awareness Facebook page. APIL is urging all members of the public to share the date and engage with the output that readers can expect over the week of June.

APIL encourage all organisations and individuals to help raise awareness of injuries caused by negligence and to get involved via the use of the #IAWeek2025 hashtag. Last year’s event saw astonishing widespread support from law firms and other organisations, such as the British Red Cross – as well as TV and radio news coverage.
